Armando Ruiz is a photojournalist and social entrepreneur who firmly believes that "what we do in life echoes in eternity. Inspired by this understanding he strives to live his life making a positive impact in the community. Having grown up in Los Angeles as an undocumented youth he is no stranger to struggle and adversity. With the support of his family and friends he became the first in his family to earn a college degree. He studied Photo Journalism and Chicano/a Studies. Acknowledging his accomplishments couldn't have been achieved without the support of his community he is dedicated to social justice and community transformation. Armando is passionate about utilizing his eclectic skills in various capacities to engage and empower disadvantage youth. He specializes in bike wrenching, graphic design, photography, screen printing, and curriculum development. With over ten years of photography experience he has been published in Loud Mouth Magazine, Hangzorro Hungary, Random Lengths, Daily Sundial, Artnois and numerous other publications. He specializes in shooting live concerts, cultural events, political rallies and promotional photography through an intimate perspective that transcends time and space.
